Lucy Lawless has a long and distinguished career as an actress as well as a musician from New Zealand. Lucy Lawless is a well-known actress and musician who hails from New Zealand. She has played prominent characters in numerous popular television and film shows which include Xena, Warrior Princess and Spartacus, Blood and Sand. As an actress she is most remembered and praised by the incredible role she played as Xena. This role was initially intended for the actress Vanessa Angel but ultimately went to Lucy after she was unable to be present due to illness. The way Xena was played and given justice to, it turned out to be one of the most popular shows on TV during the time it was on air along with other programs. Lucy's performance as Xena was so successful that it earned her the right that a spin-off show was created which was launched in September of 1995.
